Yesterday, Random Thoughts of a Supermom posted about National Hot Dog Day... it is unclear when that exact day is and I found one book that says that it is National Hot Dog Month! So, grab a dog and enjoy! We went today, in celebration, to our local hot dog stand and enjoyed hot dogs for lunch! YUM!
Whew! I cleaned out under our bed...it is so easy to cram stuff under there! But NO MORE! If we do decide to store anything under our bed I will get boxes to use!
All that is left is our weekend luggage {far left} and my wedding dress...
{You may notice a pile that is next to the bed on the right side. That is a pile for the hubs to go through and do something with.........soon........I hope.........}
We have a dresser that we use as SBJ's changing table. One of the top drawers holds his lotions and whatnot. It had incredibly TOO much stuff in it. It was just full of stuff that we did. not. need. Just about every night when I got SBJ ready for bed the drawer would drive me crazy. FINALLY I just took it all out and put back only the FEW items that we use regularly! I also got a drawer divider that helps keep everything from sliding all around!
The compartments have: nose stuff ("boogie sucker" and saline spray), lip balm, cortizone, brush and spf face lotion, lotion, eczema cream, butt paste, and regular face lotion. It also has a pack of Boogie Wipes. (and soon, very soon!, the drawer next to this one will be empty---no more diapers!!!---so his wipes can be moved to this drawer) Also...as I was taking this picture, I noticed that I still have the liner from when this was my dresser...ha! Maybe I should get a more masculine liner for my son!!??!?
This week I got our Muffin Tin Meal supplies organized as well as some of SBJ's kitchen toys. Muffin Tin Meals are such a great idea! They are lots of fun and I have found that SBJ actually eats more when the food is in a tin...and we will try new things!
The top shelf has the kitchen toys, games, and books SBJ can play with while I am in the kitchen (and our new ice pop-molds). I anticipate getting more toys and such to go in here, so I left room.
The 2 boxes go on the bottom. The blue box has a zip-lock bag with our silicon muffin cups and a black bag with various cookie cutters. The green box has our muffin tins!
Last week I showed you my over the washer organization. I am so happy with it! This week I am pleased to show you how I have organized and cleaned out over the dryer!
Top Shelf: light bulbs and batteries, Video and Camera bags Middle Shelf: Paper products and Play-do sets (kind of random but SBJ usually plays with this while I am cooking and the kitchen is right next to the laundry room) Bottom Shelf: Ginormous box of trash bags, cleaning sprays and wipes, cleaning rags
I like these shelves because most of these things I would not want SBJ to find on his own, so this keeps them out of his reach!
On another note: since taking this picture I have decided that I want to do something with the space between the dryer and the wall...look for that in the next few weeks, hopefully!
